Have what it takes to be TE?
Total Eclipse is more than just a group of gamers, we're a community of friends. Therefore forum activity is just as important as game activity. If you abide by our game rules and will be a regular contributor on the forums, you might just be the kind person we're looking for.
Rules
- Racism and forms of segregation will not be tolerated.
- Nudity and pornography shall not be posted on the site or in the forums.
- Harassment of fellow TE clan members is accepted as long as it is kept respectful.
- Wearing of the TE clan tags in any game means you are representing the entire clan. So be respectful to all other players, clans, servers, etc. unless defending yourself, your clan, or a clan member.
- TE clan members must show some sort of activity within the forums or within a clan operated server once per week unless given a leave of absence by one of the clan heads.
- TE clan members must follow the rules within clan gaming servers. Hypocrisies will not be allowed.
- If any issue flares between two TE members, the issue must be brought to the heads of TE ASAP. We are all friends lets, just act like it.
- We have a one-clan-only policy. You must be in TE clan only. If you are in another clan, then you are not in TE.
TE Code of Conduct
Dignity and Honor
As a bearer of the TE tag, everything you do and say in games, be it on our own servers or those of others, reflects back on us as a clan. As a member, you represent our entire clan, and of course we want us to look good.
We do NOT tolerate any type of racist or sexist abuse . If caught, you will be permanently banned from using our servers. Also refrain from directly insulting other players. Expressing frustration is a normal, healthy thing to do, but don't let it get personal or it will result in a kick, or if it continues, a ban. Treat people with respect so you may be treated with respect in return. In the end, remember, it is just a game.
Clan Loyalty
If you are in a clan prior to joining TE, that is acceptable and you can remain in that clan. But once you become a member of TE, with all games going forward, that's what you are, TE and TE only. Wear the tags with pride as you now represent us wherever you go.
You are free to play on other servers, but we do expect you to play under your TE tag. This shows loyalty to the clan, which is something we hold high in respect. Of course we would like to see you in our own servers most of the time, and you would do well to promote these servers when playing somewhere else. Just keep in mind that some servers don't allow this, and we expect you to respect their rules.
When you join the Total Eclipse Clan, you will initially be ranked as 'Pending Approval'. This rank will remain until you have met all the criteria detailed on this page.
Members with the 'Pending Approval' status will not be able to participate in the member forums. As soon as everything is in order, your rank will be changed to "Recruit." You will then be able to start posting on the member forums and begin climbing the rank ladder.
Cheating & Glitching
Server bandwidth is a precious commodity. Players and members are NOT allowed to use mods or cheats on any of our servers. In addition, you are not allowed to exploit any of the many glitches in any of the games we play. Doing so will result in you being kicked from the server, banned and possibly put on a charge, which may result in you being demoted or even having your clan membership revoked.
Staying Informed
It is your duty as a member to stay informed on clan news and events so that you are always up to date on recent developments. You can do so by checking the homepage and reading the forums frequently, which is where the bulk of this information can be found.
Account Inactivity
Make sure to show your face once in a while. Members who have been inactive for more than 30 days may find themselves kicked from the clan. We like our members to visit frequently so we know you are still involved with the clan. If you are kicked for being inactive for more than 30 days, you will not be notified.
Of course we understand if you have things going on in your personal life, such as school, which is keeping you from getting in the game. You can email or PM any of the clan heads to notify them of your situation so we know you are still interested in being in the clan, but simply don't currently have the time to play.
Voice Server Use
The Total Eclipse voice server allows up to 15 people to communicate with one another while playing games. This voice server is to be used only by clan members on our dedicated game servers, or with TE members BSing. Do not share the voice server IP or password with non-TE members.
